Such a beautiful place, very quaint, we loved our time there and would definitely go back!!
Jul 5, 2026 · Google ReviewMy friend and I stayed for 2 nights for a girls weekend getaway. We had the "Aft Deck" room which was spacious enough (bed on main level and another bed on loft level upstairs). The room also had a sofa and tv. The common area has a fridge, coffee, and microwave available to use (but not advertised or posted as far as I can tell). There were some hairs in the bed that were clearly from previous guests; when we told the owner he said "there's nothing we can do to prevent that after the sheets go through the dryer."...but you could check when you make the bed, though, right??? The bathroom cold have used a good deep clean as well. The room had a VERY strong smell of mold or mildew, not sure. BUT I want to give my overall stay 4/5 stars because of the location, the gorgeous courtyard, the friendly host, air conditioning, and the breakfast that was provided. The building is old and in need of some basic maintenance and there were a few issues, but overall it was a good stay. It seems there are several owners (based on other reviews); we only saw Chris there and he seemed friendly and hardworking. When I called ahead of my stay, I talked to Alyssa so I'm not sure who is really running things. I was confused upon check in because I received an email about a "room code" but there was no code. When I called they said the keys would just be in the door...which seems unsecure to me? I noticed other guests confused about their room location and how to get in as well.
Jun 13, 2026 · Google ReviewCouldn't be happier with my accidental choice of this inn. Next to the beach, quiet warm evenings, filling breakfast plate, just half an hour to Savannah, romantic Spanish moss - what else would one need for an escape?... I was in the Sunset room, would venture two improvements: first, none of the lamp switches by the bed worked and two, the shower curtain in the rather spacious stall would turn to the inside of the stall once the water was on thus significantly reducing the volume that one had in the stall.|There was somewhat of a confusion regarding check-in. First, communication from the hosts was rather brusque, one-line replies or statements, as if they had better things to do, and second, one link took me to a message saying "DOOR CODES will be sent the day of arrival to the email provided to us" and yet another read "Room and Lock Code: No codes created, please contact the property owner."|Add to this that somewhere deep in the description of the property there was a line buried about late check-in fees (and late check-ins meant arrivals after 7 p.m. (!)), and you will understand my raised eyebrows.|Wifi was excellent.|No kettle in the room, but the parlor of the inn was always open, it had a kitchen with a coffee maker and kettle and a lot tea bags for tea drinkers.|Oh, and no refrigerator in the room either. However, the room was kept at a really cold temperature (sometimes, even as low as 68F (= 20C)), so I guess that my medications were okay.
May 27, 2026 · Google ReviewWe had a wonderful couple of days on scrappy Tybee...despite the chilly, overcast weather. The folks at Tybee Island Inn were a good reason for that positive experience. The room and mattresses were very comfortable and they provided on-point recommendations for places to eat and things to do. A plumbing problem was fixed immediately. The proprietor even made a delicious rum cake which she left out for guests to enjoy - a first! Highly recommended!
Mar 31, 2026 · Google ReviewBathroom needs a new sink. The hot water faucet did not work only the cold water. The bathroom needed a good scrubbing.
Mar 31, 2026 · Google ReviewWe had a wonderful stay at the Tybee Island Inn. Located on Fort Screven, it’s a close walk to Tybee Post Theater and the beach. We stayed in the mermaid room, which was big and spacious. The owner Chris was our host and made a delicious breakfast every morning. Our favorite spot was sitting on the rocking chairs on the front porch looking at the courtyard and huge Spanish-moss covered oak tree.
