Update for the review below: Following my review, management reached out to me directly regarding my concerns. They apologized for the inconvenience and informed me that they plan to address the moisture smell issue that I experienced during my stay. I genuinely appreciated the phone call and the willingness to listen to customer feedback. It is refreshing to see a business take concerns seriously and make an effort to improve the experience for future guests. Their customer service was excellent, and the follow-up demonstrated that they value their guests and their reputation. ————————————————————————————— This hotel should lose the “H” and replace it with an “M” because it felt more like a Motel than a Hotel. To be fair, the room was clean, which is already half the battle these days. Unfortunately, it came with that unmistakable “old house that hasn’t opened a window since the Clinton administration” smell. I ended up making an emergency run for Febreze just to negotiate a peace treaty with the air quality. If you’re looking for spacious suites or a luxury experience, keep scrolling. They don’t have suites available, and this definitely isn’t a four-star stay. The room gets the job done, but nobody is going to mistake it for a resort. That said, the front desk staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, which went a long way toward improving the experience. The breakfast was also surprisingly decent. Nothing life-changing, but certainly enough to keep me from writing an angry review before my first cup of coffee. Was it the hotel of my dreams? Not even close. But for the price, it wasn’t terrible. I’ve stayed in Army barracks rooms that had less personality but about the same decorating budget. Overall, not luxurious, not memorable, but perfectly survivable.

Cathy, at the front desks was extremely polite and friendly, she answered all our questions and made me and my wife very comfortable upon our arrival. She represents a fine example of what the hospitality be. We could have gone ABNB, or VRBO...as I recalled our last few experiences in the past made our choice to return to Holiday Inn, Hunter Air Base the right choice. Thanks...ps...the breakfast host on the morning of the 19th April was also very helpful and friendly...

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! ALL the staff is incredibly helpful, kind and welcoming. I was even lost because one of the gates was closed but Ms. McCloud stayed over the phone the entire time giving me directions to get on base. The rooms are extremely clean and so modern. The lighting is so amazing and you have a really nice view of the beautiful bright green trees. More people need to come to this hotel. It's only 15 minutes away from the downtown area of Savannah and 30 minutes from Tybee Island Beach!!! This hotel literally feels like a hidden gem. Their breakfast is amazing and varies day to day. I even saw a sign that they have a weekly dinner on Wednesdays, if I'm not mistaken, to get together and know other people on base. I love their little gym, it's so cute. I mean honestly this place has had so many good memories for me. This was my third stay and I absolutely will continue to come back here. I say this sincerely and with love. Jesus is good!!!
