His life long erudition, passion and experience within the context of African American history - locally, nationally and internationally - is profound and seemingly boundless. MiaMust see! Excited to visit again for one of their galas and or artist talk exhibitions! Full of interesting botanical and garden information. Perfect for anyone trying to understand Black people‘s relationship with the land in Savannah. Also, cool information on black jockeys and Cowboys. A gorgeous gallery of local artist and community members. A garden to sit in and chat with friends!

Bri DentThis was such a rich trip. We had a guide who was young but so knowledgeable. He claimed to be our groups Alexa and was able to tell us so much history for many different pieces and this building truly showcases a transitional time for the African American history in Savannah. There are also activities for younger children

ChrisWe recently visited this amazing museum. It is certainly a treasure of Savannah. Included are some amazing paintings that tell an amazing story. Be sure to take a tour. You will certainly learn a lot.

Shannor TrottyHad a great time! We had a tour guide so us around when we went but you can definitely visit on your own. They have a store front where you can buy information about African American history in significantly more detail than you would normally learn about. They also sell merchandise from local businesses in the area.
