Stayed here over the 4th of July weekend with family and overall had a pleasant stay. The location is excellent—within easy walking distance of both River Street and City Market, making it a great base for exploring Savannah. The hotel staff was friendly throughout our stay, and our room was clean, including the bathroom. The only issue we encountered was that the bathroom ventilation fan wasn’t working. We requested extra towels and other necessities, and they were delivered quickly. The common areas of the hotel were clean and well maintained. There’s an on-site restaurant (breakfast is available for purchase rather than complimentary), along with a free coffee and water station. They also have a small convenience shop for snacks, drinks, and essentials. There’s a pool on-site as well, although we didn’t have a chance to use it. The only significant downside was the parking situation. Valet parking is mandatory and operated by a third-party company, and that experience deserves a separate review entirely. Overall, this is a clean, comfortable hotel in a fantastic location, and I’d consider staying here again—though I’d definitely be prepared for the valet process.
Jul 9, 2026 · Google ReviewFront Desk Staff check on Sat 7/25/26 5pm checking extremely accommodating and friendly. The valet parkin. only a bit expensive especially if you are paying to stay at the hotel. However Lave and KD very nice and accommodating as well. The Location and walking distance to everything is good. The room was a bit smaller than expected and not well lit.
Jul 28, 2026 · Google ReviewFront desk staff was very friendly. They even accommodated a late minute request for a late checkout so my wife could do her phone interview. The breakfast was delicious, but it gets packed quickly. The rooftop pool was amazing and overlooks the river. Didn't get the chance to try the bar. I enjoyed that the King Suite had a door for the bedroom so my kids slept on the pullout sofa and my wife and I had our own room. The only 3 negative experiences I had was the valet was too pricey for just parking across the street. I was also told when I made the reservation that I could pay at check in, but they tried to take the money out of my account at 8am. My card was locked so I had to call them back to finalize the payment. Also, they didnt inform me that the incidentals were a seperate charge which had to be paid on site. Will revist!
Jul 9, 2026 · Google ReviewReally enjoyed staying here last week at the Hilton Garden Inn in Savannah. Everyone I talked to at the front desk was so nice and helpful. My room was also very nice. It was very spacious and clean. The valet parking is a little pricey if you’re on a tight budget. However, I thought it was worth it, as having to pay to park in the garage, or the lot out back, would have cost just as much as I paid for three days. Also while I was there the hot tub was out of service, which was disappointing as I enjoy them quite a bit. The pool also is very shallow at around 4 feet deep. So if you’re taller, that might also be a little bit of an inconvenience. But other than those few little things I LOVED staying here. The location was fantastic. It was within walking distance of so much stuff.
