Destination CENTRALWhen we arrived in Savannah a week ago, we stopped by Target and stumbled into this fried chicken heaven. After a long overnight flight, I was starving. I ordered the six-piece chicken tenders and was completely blown away. I told my son they scored a 9.8 out of 10 - a rating I have never given before. I actually waited a week to write this review because I wanted to compare these tenders with other restaurants first. After eating chicken strips at four different places this past week, I still believe these are the absolute best. Why? Think of it like sushi. Exceptional sushi requires fresh fish, but the precision of the cut is just as vital. If the cut is too thick, the texture and flavor suffer. Every other restaurant I tried focused purely on massive portion sizes, neglecting the actual flavor. Did I get bigger chicken strips elsewhere? Yes. But they didn't taste nearly as good. By the way - I did not touched the bread. I was super hungry and I just neglected the free bread on the side. I have no idea about other food options. My review is just about the Chicken tenders.

Goldie MianGeneva’s Famous Chicken & Cornbread absolutely lived up to the hype. The fried chicken was incredibly flavorful, perfectly crispy, and unbelievably juicy without being overly greasy like so many other places. You can really taste the quality and seasoning in every bite. The jalapeño cornbread was hands down the star of the meal — soft, sweet, buttery, with just the right kick of spice. It was honestly unforgettable. The mac and cheese was good as well, although I’ve had slightly better elsewhere. But the chicken and cornbread alone easily make this place a 10/10 for me. Definitely somewhere I’d come back to again and again.

D. JaxxsonOk! This was a pleasant surprise as we stopped for a quick brunch. Lemme tell you. That fried chicken is the real one. The collards, rice and cornbread is just an extra touch. The real show is the fried chicken. Was our first time there. We had plans on eating in, but there was no seating available. Not a deal breaker. Yes! We will return and yes we will be getting that damn fried chicken.

Kim CannonJust go! This is the best cornbread I have ever had in my life…..and the chicken was perfection. Jaylin, our server, was sweet and patient with us as we were deciding what to choose from the menu. I was going to get dessert but opted to get more cornbread instead….it was THAT good.

Bruce SeilerThe fried chicken anf mashed potatoes were really good. Best we had in our Savannah trip. My wife had Mediterranean Salad. It was good but there a lot of soggy bits of spinach. The cornbread was a disappointment as well. It was very dry and didnt taste fresh. The service was too notch and everything was presented well.
