Excellent facilities. Laundry was good. Pool nice. Wide open long, spacious RV spaces. Plenty of setup room. Upon leaving, lawnmower guy on mower circled the RV on 3 sides kicking up grass and dust. Couldn't wait 20 minutes for us to leave. Had the whole RV park to mow, which he did, but started at space 1 and worked his way around the park. Very unpleasant last hour there which didn't need to be if managed correctly.

Really enjoyed our stay here.ww had a shaded site. Front desk was great with checking in. They do a free social happy hour for drinks on Wednesdays. The pol is really nice and has plenty of shade. Convinant laundry open 24 hours. The camp shop has the best local ice cream sandwichs and popsicles.

Front desk attendant Jill was hilarious, really enjoyed our time here and the spot right on the lake was wonderful. The shuttle to Savannah was a real perk and free. Continental breakfast and afternoon snacks with beer and wine with the neighbors on Wed. provided by the park.

I almost didn't book this stay because of the recent negative review by Meredith Luper! However, i am so glad i did! We loved how huge and spread out the property was — it felt peaceful, relaxing, and still conveniently close to town. Our spot was right next to the "road" and we never heard the so called "disturbing"road noise. The trains sounds were in the distance and were not disruptive in fact they were actually nice. As far as the acorns falling all night, we feel they need more trees! We really enjoyed the natural setting, the trees, open fields, horses, goats, etc and the overall atmosphere of the campground. I walked my large dog a few times a day and appreciated that I wasn't going in mindless circles with him. I could walk a different path each time and always saw something new to appreciate about Red Gate Farms. As far as the walk to check-in...give me a break! There is a BEAUTIFUL old oak tree with low hanging limbs. Of course one would not want to cut that tree simply so some entitled person can drive right up to the front door! We found the staff friendly and helpful during check-in, and overall we had a relaxing and enjoyable 5 day stay. We would definitely, absolutely, without a doubt return! I hope this dispells anyone's hesitation to stay here. As I clearly don't appreciate Ms. Lupers review. If she had such opinions, she should have talked with the staff. No one should try to damage a family business by expressing such narrow-minded personal thoughts.

My wife and I stayed at this resort a couple weeks ago and really loved the place. Very clean and beautiful! Incredible ponds and the sites were nice sizes. Close to Savannah. Highly recommend. Staff were very nice and friendly.
