Honestly, I would have given a solid 4 except one thing: the refrigerator was iced up in the back, dripping water, and not cooling properly- AND- it didn't have a freezer! I reported this to the front desk immediately upon arrival and they said that maintenance would take care of it the next day. If maintenance did look at it, they did not take care of it. Same fridge- without freezer- same ice and drips down the back. I reported it again. Still the same fridge. Initially we had only meant to spend 2 nights, but because the location was convenient, we stayed 4. If the fridge had been replaced, I may have even gone with a 5, but no one likes to be ignored. It was clean, beds comfortable, all things one needs when traveling - except a working fridge.

The staff at this location was great! I did have an issue with the A/C not working in my room. It was late in the evening before I could report it and I was probably not in the best mood. The gentleman on duty at the front desk very calmly and empatheticly listened to my complaint, came to the room and tried to fix the issue, but when he couldn’t, he already had another key in his pocket to move me to the room across the hall. After a very long day, he handled the situation very well and I was grateful for a good, comfortable night’s sleep.

Holiday Inn Express always comes through. Always solid. Yes, I gave it 4's but what if like is the consistency. You will have a decent, safe time staying there. Don't expect 5 stars but always solid and unlike a few other mid?-level chains never sketchy and staff always friendly.

Desk staff was polite and handled check-in seamlessly. We stayed for two nights this visit and will definitely be back. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable.
