We hosted our family reunion at Carey Hilliard's Banquet Hall and it was a great venue! Our group was 60 people and the event was the Saturday after Juneteenth and before Father's Day. We were excited to have good and flavorful Southern food. This place did not disappoint! We had fried fish, fried chicken, roast beef with gravy (so tender), red rice, Collard greens, macaroni & cheese, and corn muffins. We had vanilla ice cream with a choice of pecans, chocolate sauce, or caramel sauce as toppings. People were smacking their lips and thrilled to get second helpings because it was delicious! Ms. Keller, Ricky, and Jennifer did a great job of preparing the food, providing excellent service, and ensuring we had everything we needed to have a wonderful program for our reunion. The only thing I would do differently is spend 20-30 minutes with Ricky to ensure our sound worked consistently well on the computer. We had a great setup and were able to project videos with no problem! I think we would have benefited from a few tips on what to do to get the audio working better for some of the videos. It was a minor issue, but one to consider if you plan to reserve the space for a program. I was so pleased with the professionalism of the staff and their kindness throughout our time at the venue. I would be glad to host another event their in future!

I ordered grilled Salmon salad and the Salmon was TOO DRY/OVER COOKED/RUBBER. However the server insured me that it was cooked to perfection. NOT! Crab stew was wonderful.

I came back after 4 years. I'm a visitor to the city. Three service started off ok. We were seated immediately. We were in there about 7pm. Inhad the fried shrimp with a salad. The shrimp was great but the salad was bright out after my food. Not happy about that. My partner ordered the white tail shrimp fried. He said it was OK. He ordered Brunswick stew and he didn't like it at all. And when I looked at it, I told him it looked like baby food. It looked like it had been put in a blender. He also ordered green beans. He eat about half of those. He's picky about his GB so I won't say a lot about those. My 2nd side was sweet potato fries, and I had no complaints. Also, we asked our server for ketchup and ended up getting it ourselves from the table across from us. She walked by our table 2x before she brought some to our table. Not sure we will go there again.

It was one of the best experiences I have had at Carey Hilliards in a very long time. We usually go to the one on Waters Avenue.. There’s definitely something different about this Carey Hilliards on Abercorn. It is run so well and our waitress. Courtney was amazing. We were in the drive up. Service could not have asked for a better dinner and atmosphere.. I will certainly be telling all my friends about my great experience here.
