Brandon ParrFirst time eating here and it was excellent, everything we had , had great flavor and was reasonably priced for the portions you received.. L was our server and she was great , super nice and informative over the menu and super attentive even with the restaurant being someone busy. 10/10 experience, highly recommend if you want good food , great atmosphere and great service.

Robert LThe ambience is a perfect coastal cafe look. The food presentation was fantastic and the options were terrific. The service was a little off, slow time waiting to be seated (although it was an off time and the restaurant was 75% empty) and the waitress was not very communicative. The food all arrived at different times with no explanation or care. It would have been for the waitress to atealst say something and acknowledge the other plates were dragging. It also made no sense. How is the person who orders a salad getting their food last? Advice for management: As I said, presentation was impeccable and flavors were on point. The plateware needs work. The plastic restaurant cafe plates are fine for sandwiches, but when you are paying $30 for salmon or tuna, the plate should be warm. The Tybee tuna with the potatoes under it looked impressive (check out the picture), but the potatoes were cold. The salmon also looked impressive, I warm plate would have kept the temp of the sweet potato puree and asparagus much better. We were a party of 5 and 1 said they won't be back just because of the temperature and the staggered delay in food delivery.

Katy RMy wife and I were visiting Wormsloe and knew we wanted to try Driftaway Cafe when we were researching lunch places nearby. We sat at the bar and had a great bartender, and great food. My wife had the Sesame Ginger Chicken Salad which she said was the best food she's ever had. The dressing was so good. I had the fried green tomatoes, which was delicious. For an appetizer, you get 6 slices, which are breaded and seasoned to perfection, served with a mild buttermilk dipping sauce, which had a hint of horseradish, I think. So good. The interior has a beautiful landscaped painting on the ceiling and walls created by a local artist, Michele Snell. She had some of her artwork hanging on a wall, for sale, and we bought a gorgeous painting she did of Wormsloe. It's a beautiful reminder to us of the great experience we had at the Driftaway Cafe. We're already talking about planning our next trip back and we can't wait to visit again.

Joythe food was very good! had cheese curts and the caesar salad for starters. the shrimp and grits and the scallop pasta for our main. so far the best shrimp and grits i’ve ever had. the decorations inside are really pretty too!

Christopher MillerLooking for hidden gems and we found it. Wife was pre-comparing every other restaurant to the blueberry salmon she saw on the menu so worried it may not live up when we finally made the journey out of the historic district. Narrator: the salmon exceeded expectations. Loved the dining on the back patio, great ambiance, regular service visits, delectable crab dip appetizer, oldest loved her Mahi entree, and my Firecracker shrimp was the right amount and met the spice expectations. Love the decision to give it a try.
