Beautiful surroundings and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The staff was helpful and made our visit easy from the start. I especially appreciated the variety of camping options available—it’s clear there’s something here for everyone. We came simply to picnic, and even though the weather didn’t cooperate, we made the best of it by enjoying our lunch from the car while taking in the lively, well-kept grounds. It was still a memorable experience. In fact, our visit left such a positive impression that we went ahead and purchased a Georgia State Parks annual pass. It feels like a wonderful way to explore and get to know our new state.
May 2, 2026 · Google ReviewOof well it’s so pretty. I really did enjoy my stay. Just be careful about ticks especially if you have dogs. Bring a tick mitt. Put them on tick prevention. I found them on me and them every time we stepped outside and I was really careful. Opossums are our friends I think their services are needed around this area lol
Aug 2, 2026 · Google ReviewThis park is well kept and has many nice trails. The visitor/entrance center is super nice. The camp host was awesome and the bathroom/showers were clean and stocked. Sites were spaced okay and provided some privacy. There is some construction going down at the end of the campground that is fenced off (2026 spring). You can hear front loaders, etc but it isn't too bad and only work daytime hours.
Apr 16, 2026 · Google ReviewWe have been visiting this beautiful Park for 15yrs. Always loved the wooded sites and trails. Last week we stayed in there cabin and very disappointed. The cabins need some upkeep. Cleaning, screen & door replacement, very musty smell due to water damage on wooden floor. Then there’s the forest there destoring for “KoA” style campsites. The trails and tower have been closed for over 2 yrs. The park service needs to PRESERVE what they have🥲
Jul 25, 2026 · Google ReviewCampground. This was our first stay here. Very nice park lots of walking, very nice welcome center. Currently working on upgrading one of the sections. Will definitely be back. Pull through sites are not really pull through, the back road is small and snakes between trees, but back out there is plenty of room.
