I popped on Google. Searched up a dude with great reviews and reached out trying to cram in a half day while I was out here on a work trip. I’m normally way more comfortable in the mountains of Idaho on small streams or hunting. This was my first guided experience and my first time on the Atlantic. I can’t believe how awesome the day was w Scott. He scouted a bit before my arrival, took me around to a few spots he knew could turn up results and got me on 3 kinds of fish. I had messed up my shoulder a week prior so I just wanted to use a spinning rig and he made it happen. I can’t recommend him enough. Will be hitting him up again and praying he’s available next time I’m in town. 10/10!

Captain Scott Wagner (Wags, as I call him--for you Billions fans) is one of the best guides I have ever fished with. I had only done fresh water flyfishing prior to the summer of 2023, and with many guides from Montana to Georgia. I have always wanted to do saltwater flyfishing and after much research, Scott came highly recommended from 2 people I respect in the flyfishing world. Scott put me on my first redfish then, and now I just did my FIFTH trip (with many more in the near future)with Scott! We have caught fish on every trip! On our last trip, he put me on my first saltwater striper. It was a heck of a topwater bite and one I will remember forever. You will get a full day of fishing with Scott as time is never an issue with him. He will also burn gas looking/chasing for fish. He will never camp out at one location and is always on the hunt for actively feeding fish. His fishing knowledge of the area in unsurpassed. He is very personable and easy to talk to. The fishing hours seem to go by too fast in his company. He has also helped me with my casting with some helpful pointers. I highly recommend Scott for your next fishing adventure! You won't find a better guide in the Savannah/Hilton Head area!

I have been fishing with Capt. Scott Wagner for about 6 years and from all the trips I've fished with guides all over the country this guy is hands down the best I have ever fished with. Awesome with spin and fly no matter if beginner or highly skilled, this is your guy. When I first started fishing with Capt. Scott I thought he just fished in the Savannah area but this guys knows every nook and tidal creek for the whole coast line of Georgia and South Carolina. For people visiting Hilton Head and Beaufort this is your guy. NOBODY knows Hilton Head/Beaufort better than Capt. Scott. Also, since I have been fishing with him you notice that he is not like other guides. He only wears a watch to watch the tides and not to make sure your 4 hour trip is done in three hours and forty five minutes. Capt. Scott also modifies the fishing schedule to make sure his clients have the best opportunity possible. I have had many a time when I get a 7 p.m. phone call from Capt. Scott saying the weather/wind/etc. has changed and what we can do to get the best shot at fish. This is not a common practice with fishing guides. Alot of "so-called" guides will not change anything in regards to your fishing plans and take you out for your allotted paid for time and go to the same spots no matter the tide or weather. This your guy!!!!

I’ve fished with guides all over the country, the Caribbean and more - Capt Scott is the best, most knowledgeable guy you’ll find anywhere. He’s got decades of time on the water from Savannah to Hilton Head and he’s always willing to work hard to put you on fish. If you’re staying in or around Savannah and want to do a fly or light tackle charter he’s the one to call. Don’t waste your time or money with tackle shop trendies or anyone else, just call Capt Scott. You’ll be glad you did!

Was fortunate enough to enjoy a full day charter in the Savannah waters with Scott! He is prepared, has expert knowledge of the water, and will put you in great positions to get the fly in front of fish! Scott is very patient, works diligently to find the fish, and does not keep track of time. He is not a instagram/snapchat guide, he’s the REAL DEAL!! Looking forward to my next low country adventure with Savannah Fly!
