We stayed at Biltmore RV in Savannah, GA for 5 nights in March 2026. Despite mixed reviews, we chose it because it’s the closest campground to downtown Savannah, and this trip was more about exploring the city than “camping.” We have a 38’ Class A motorhome. This small, privately owned campground has been open since the 1950s. Sites are spacious, level, shaded, and full-hookup; most are dirt/stone pads, though some have concrete. There’s no bathhouse (not an issue for us). The road in front is busy, with noticeable daytime traffic noise, but we heard very little overnight. The owners were pleasant and professional. We had to change our reservation due to winter weather in the north, and Barbara was very accommodating. They prefer to greet you and take you by golf cart to your site to show the hookups, so arriving during normal operating hours is best. We stayed in touch with Barbara while traveling to share our ETA; traffic on I-95 made us a bit late, but it wasn’t an issue—they were waiting, showed us in, and provided a packet of visitor materials. We’d definitely stay here again. If you can read and follow instructions, this is a good choice for a Savannah visit.
Mar 12, 2026 · Google ReviewBiltmore is a small RV park. Except for roughly two spots, all are fairly large shaded, level, back-in spots with full hook-ups. The cell phone signal with T-mobile was strong, so we used our phones as hot spots for wi-fi. There were also lots of TV stations reachable with just an antennae. We had a small table with us, so didn't miss picnic tables. It is a short Uber ride into the city, or you can catch a trolly that picks up between 9-9:30 and returns around 4pm. The ease of getting to the city and other nearby attractions make this a great home base. The circular layout was nice and conducive to socializing with neighbors if you're interested when walking around. Our hosts were great. We had a problem with the awning and couldn't retract it the morning we checked out. Barbara saved us with a tools and a piece of wire that I used to get power to the controller. Saved our bacon. I see some poor reviews, but we had a great experience with the owners. We had a personal issue before arriving that they worked through with us. The park is exactly as advertised. Would definitely stay there again.
Apr 18, 2026 · Google ReviewCozy, family owned campground. Spacious, level and tree covered sites. Has an open area to walk small laps or play with dogs. Squirrels are abundant and fun to watch. Local trolley will pick up at location. Owners are very friendly, resourceful, responsive and kind. They want campers to enjoy what Savannah has to offer. Some sites consist of some weeds, including poison ivy.
May 10, 2026 · Google ReviewNo bath house so must be self contained. No bathrooms or showers. The stuff is very nice & helpful. If you want the Savannah trolley tour they will pick you up here. Our site was nice
